Word of Google’s plans to incorporate a buy button to their mobile search ads was released late last week by The Wall Street Journal. This has sparked a heated debate and there a lot of opinions floating around out there. A major benefit of this feature would be that advertisers will finally be able to see a direct correlation between pay-per-click efforts and sales. The fear is that the ability to purchase through Google will obstruct traffic to retailers’ websites and diminish the customer – retailer relationship.
